Piyush is from India, where he completed his undergraduate in Electrical Engineering from Bhilai Institute of Technology,Durg. He is currently pursuing his masters in Biomedical Engineering at USC’s Viterbi School of Engineering.

Piyush started working for OIS as a passport verification assistant, after which he transitioned into a student worker position. Having lived in as well as visited many places in India, Piyush has learned a lot about the diverse culture of his home country. Coming to USC provided Piyush with an opportunity to further expand his travel experience in an international way. As an undergraduate, Piyush was a member of the cultural committee, where he successfully organised many cultural events. He is a member of the USC Adventure Gurus, organizes activities and sports, and practices archery with Trojan Archery.

Upon graduation, Piyush aims to pursue a PhD in Neuroimaging, either in the US or Europe, after which he plans to return to India. Apart from his academic life, Piyush loves to cook, writes and studies music.
