The Office of International Services is excited to announce Sharon Hsu has joined our team as an International Student Advisor.

Sharon comes to USC from Westcliff University in Irvine, where she served as an International Student Advisor/DSO for the past four years. In her role, she advised F-1 students on topics such as maintaining F-1 status, CPT/OPT/STEM OPT, international travel, acclimating to American culture, as well as academic and personal concerns. She also helped create and develop departmental procedures for F-1 student applications.

Sharon divided her childhood between Irvine, CA and Taipei, Taiwan where she attended the Taipei American School for high school. After high school, she returned to the U.S. to attend UC Irvine, where she earned a B.A. in International Studies. While at UCI, she studied abroad in Seoul, South Korea and served as a peer mentor to international undergraduate students at UCI. In this role, she organized and planned events and workshops for mentees and facilitated weekly staff meetings for other mentors. She was also a member of the Konnect Korean Culture Awareness Club on campus.

In her free time, Sharon enjoys dancing, singing, reading, and catching up on her favorite TV shows. She is bilingual in English and Mandarin and enjoys practicing Korean with friends.

Sharon looks forward to serving USC’s international student population in her new role.
