Say hello to our new International Program Assistant. We at the Office of International Services are very excited to welcome Tomine Bergseth to our student staff. As our IPA, Tomine is excited to organize and host all the OIS events our international students know and love – from monthly coffee hours, to hikes, to other excursions around Los Angeles. She will also work to facilitate communication between domestic and international students at USC, working to bring the Trojan community closer together!

Tomine is an undergraduate sophomore student from Norway. She is currently majoring in International Relations and Non-Governmental Organizations and Social Change. After she graduates, she would like to participate in humanitarian field work. Her long-term plans are to address global issues through the UN or an affiliated organization.

Tomine is active on campus outside of her academics. She is a member of Delta Phi Epsilon – a professional foreign service and international relations fraternity. She attends weekly meetings and participates in various social, academic, and philanthropic events. She is involved with the Scandinavian Student Society, where she attends get-togethers through the semester for Scandinavian students. She is also a member of hiking organization SCOutfitters, and goes on occasional hikes with them. She loves all the amazing people she has met during her time at USC, and in her spare time she enjoys hanging out with friends, hiking, and reading.
