Karim is from Egypt and grew up living in Abu Dhabi. He moved to Tampa, Florida after graduating from high school to gain his Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering and is currently pursuing his Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at USC’s Viterbi School of Engineering. Karim’s parents and sister are also engineers, and as the last one to graduate Karim benefits greatly from being a member of an engineering family.

Karim loves meeting people from different backgrounds and has a very diverse group of friends from the international school he attended in Abu Dhabi. Karim is the senator for graduate students in the Aerospace & Mechanical Engineering department. He really enjoys this role because it gives him the chance to brainstorm new events that will bring the department closer together. In his free time, Karim is an absolute soccer fanatic.
