Jocelyn was born and raised in Orange County, California. She moved to the Inland Empire to attend the University of California, Riverside, graduating with a BA in English Literature. During her time at UCR, she worked as a Writing Consultant for the University Writing Program and helped assist professors in teaching Introductory English courses. There, she fell in love with teaching English.

Jocelyn is currently pursuing her MAT in TESOL at USC’s Rossier School of Education and hopes to one day teach English Literature and ESL as a university professor. Since Vietnamese is her first language, she personally understands the frustration that many students face in an ESL classroom.

In her free time, Jocelyn loves to read, travel and experience new cultures, and hang out at the park with Blizzard, her beloved dog! She also loves animals, all things pink, and all types of food! Jocelyn hopes to be able to create a positive learning environment where students can learn English and have fun at the same time.
