Deeksha – also known as Dee – is originally from India, but has lived in Dubai almost all her life. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Communication Management at the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. A dog lover, Deeksha’s favorite thing about USC is Professor Beau.
A little-known fact about Deeksha is that she is a certified deep-sea diver. Her favorite artists are Imagine Dragons, Linkin Park, Ed Sheeran, and Red Hot Chili Peppers, and she is also a huge fan of Bollywood music. Her favorite travel experience thus far has been her trip to Egypt, where she got to see the mummies and pyramids she had been reading about since the age of 6. If she could possess one superpower it would be teleportation, so she doesn’t have to sit on 16-hour flights home!
Deeksha is a member of the Delta Lambda Chapter of Lambda Pi Eta at USC, which is part of the National Communication Association Honor Society. She is also on the executive board of Annenberg Graduate Student Representative, where she serves as Co-Director of Annenberg Ball. In her spare time, she loves to read, listen to music, explore the city with friends, and try out different kinds of food. After graduation, she would like to work in market research and analytics or website and content strategy.
