On March 20, 2023, the Office of International Services (OIS) will launch a new web-based case management system, Trojan International, which will improve how OIS serves students. This new system will provide international students and academic advisors with a web portal to submit and check the status of document requests.
In preparation for Trojan International, OIS must alter document processing timelines in the weeks leading up to the launch. OIS Live advising and email response times will not be impacted during this transition.
Submission Deadlines
Travel Signature Request – March 7
If you plan to travel internationally during Spring Break and do not have a valid travel signature, request one now. Please check the travel signature date on the third page of your I-20 or the first page of your DS-2019. If your I-20/DS-2019 was signed within the 12 months (or the last six months if you are on OPT), you do not need an updated travel signature. Requests submitted after February 22 will be processed after March 20.
OPT I-20 Request – March 7
OIS will accept OPT I-20 Requests via MyOIS until March 7 for students graduating in May 2023. Requests cannot be submitted between March 8 and March 19. Requests will be accepted again beginning March 20 via Trojan International.
STEM OPT Validation Report Submissions – March 7
Students on STEM OPT whose 6, 12, 18, or 24-month evaluations are due in March 2023 must submit via MyOIS by March 7. Validation reports cannot be submitted between March 8 and March 19. Validation reports will be accepted again beginning March 20 via Trojan International.
Social Security/ITIN Letter Requests
The launch of Trojan International does not impact Social Security and ITIN letter processing. Please submit requests as usual on the OIS website.
SEVP Portal Account Issue Support
The launch of Trojan International does not impact SEVP Portal Account Issue support. Please submit requests as usual on the OIS website.
All Other OIS Requests – February 22
All other requests must be received by February 22. Submissions cannot be accepted or processed between February 23 and March 19. Requests will be accepted again beginning March 20 via Trojan International.
